KAIRAN

KAIRAN is an online platform where people from around the world share about their culture and everyday lives.
KAIRAN means to look around in Japanese, so we want to make this media, a place where people can get the feel of traveling around the world, including learning new culture, sightseeing, seeing people from different countries and etc!
AND, KAIRAN-board means community circular board in Japanese, which is what people in Japan pass on from neighbours to neighbours to spread community information. KAIRAN is like a KAIRAN-board because people pass on articles and videos about their culture from one country to another!

Our Aim

Our aim is contribute to world peace and solving international issues!

We want to contribute to peace through enhancing mutual understandings between countries! We are connected to all the countries through the internet but we still don’t know much about many countries that we don’t live in 🙁

We also aim to contribute to solving international issues through raising awareness about many of the issues that are not payed enough attention to from the international community. Let’s say, country A has a serious issue but is not well known around the world. KAIRAN aims to raise interest in country A as a whole, whether it’s on the music or the food. We believe, as more people get interested in country A, not only would more people learn about the issue in country A, we believe the media coverage on the issue will increase!

These are our ultimate goals! But, KAIRAN is all about creating fun and interesting contents that people can enjoy! Learning more about the world is sure to be awsomeeeee!!!

Our Media KAIRAN

Students from around the world write articles and create videos to share about their countries! The articles and videos introduces about different things in the country, such as traditions, culture (music, books, movies, fashion, festivals etc.), food, tourist spots, news, social issues, government policies & etc. Each country will have different categories and a page dedicated for that country. The goal would be to have members from all the countries in the world!

We post articles and videos about different countries on this website and other social medias.

Register as a KAIRAN writer

Fill out a quick google form to register! You can find the google form in Join Us page. Note that you have to be a student.

Your writer profile will created according to the registration!

Choose your category

Choose a category that you will be writing an article or creating a video about. It can be a new category or an existing one.

Create contents

Write articles and create videos in align with our simple manual!

Send contents

When your contents are finished, you can send it to our team and we will post it after checking it!

Make international friends

We will be hosting online events to get to know each other. When we have more members from around the world, you will have friends from around the world 🙂

Who we are

We are International Student Media Club W based in Tokyo, Japan. Our club started in 2022 and is currently a group of about 30 University Students. Our club run the media KAIRAN and do activities related to the media!
